SkelMod 162V is the new and improved version of Skeleton's SkelMod 102V supercapacitor module, used by our customers across the globe in demanding, high-power grid and industrial applications. Ideal applications range from e-statcom, fast frequency response, and industrial UPS, to data center backup power.
Supercapacitors offer excellent reliability and lifetime, and the SkelMod 162V module is no exception. Powered by Skeleton's SkelCap SCH3400 supercapacitor cells, the SkelMod 162V module has a lifetime of more than million charge-discharge cycles, which in many applications means more than 20 years of continuous use.
The SkelMod 162V module is the building block for Skeleton's SkelGrid supercapacitor systems. With up to 10 modules per cabinet, one SkelGrid can provide megawatts of power and the ring-loop communication design of the SkelMod modules enables continuous communication and power even in a case of failure.
