Europe’s leading ultracapacitor manufacturer Skeleton Technologies is offering an exclusive €2,000 scholarship opportunity for Estonian engineering and technology graduate students.
Company co-founder and COO Oliver Ahlberg said that Skeleton Technologies was offering its support to help ensure the new generation of Estonian engineers reaches its full potential.
"We are looking for bright young masters students, passionate about what they study, on track to graduate successfully and who are also active students gaining practical experience through extracurricular activities such as through internships, clubs or studying abroad,” Ahlberg said.
“Our scholarship will offer them the opportunity to develop their academic work to become experts in their chosen field.”
Applications are invited from students at Tallinn University who are studying electrical drives and power electronics, mechatronics, product development and manufacturing technology or electronics and communication disciplines.
Candidates are required to submit an application essay, their CV and undergraduate and postgraduate studies scoring sheet along with a recommendation from a teacher, practice supervisor or previous employer.

“We’ve supported several initiatives in recent years as we think its vital for Skeleton Technologies to help foster the skills and knowledge base of Estonia’s next generation of engineers and entrepreneurs,” Ahlberg explained.
“We want to ensure Estonia’s best and brightest feel like they don’t need to leave to realise their career dreams but stay and apply their talents at home.”
Skeleton Technologies has offered financial and mentorship support for various engineering and technology field events and competitions, such as the Garage48 Hardware & Arts event, Negavatt and the Mektory TehnoHack competition.
In the last year the company has also offered internships to 11 local students, allowing them to put their knowledge into practice, with many deciding to continue their career with Skeleton Technologies.
Most of these internships have been offered to engineers, however this summer Skeleton Technologies will also offer internships to management and business students as well as those studying electronics, mechatronics, mechanical engineering and material sciences.
