The joint demonstration featured Skeleton's GrapheneBBU, powered by Niobium SuperBattery technology, integrated with Acbel's power system to deliver enhanced backup power performance for modern data centers.
Li-ion batteries, used in data centers for backup power, do not have enough power for modern AI data centers, and are prone to fires and thermal runaway, creating safety risks. To solve this, Skeleton is launching a Niobium-based Battery Backup Unit, GrapheneBBU, at the Open Compute Global Summit in San Jose, California.
The collaboration takes advantage of Skeleton’s breakthrough Niobium SuperBattery technology, delivering a new class of BBU solutions for hyperscale and enterprise data centers.
